~ Sound Therapy ~ Sound has been used for therapeutic and healing purposes for thousands of years. The transformative power of sound can, at the very least, soothe, uplift and lighten ones mood, as everyone has experienced at some time in their lives. The vibrational energy of sound has the ability to penetrate both our physical and energetic bodies, healing mind, body and soul.

Sound Therapy today is a combination of both modern and ancient techniques, consisting of a fine blend of ancient knowledge, scientific facts, and the practitioners’ intuition. Using Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls & also the Voice, the sound and vibrational energy produced has an extraordinary healing effect on the physical, mental, emotional & spiritual aspects of a person, bringing all round healing on an extremely deep level. The unique vibrational frequencies of each bowl brings a specific healing energy to each session, and with a varied combination of sounds for each person, the session is tailor made to the needs of each individual.

Each area of our biological system; our body, our internal organs, and our chakras, all vibrate at differing frequencies, and so ‘sing’ a different note. Each person has a range of frequencies within their system, unique and individual to themselves. When these notes sing in harmony our bodies are in

good health, but if any are off key and out of tune an imbalance occurs, which may cause us to become ill. There is no avoiding the external interferences that can affect our vibrational system through biological stress, which can shift our frequencies out of harmony. These interfering factors might be negative energy, pollution, electrical interferences, radioactivity, any or all of which may affect the vibration or ‘song’ of any part of our being, and in turn cause a diverse range of illnesses within our body.

Healing with sacred bowls focuses on treating the main eight chakras of the body as well as the auric field, to bring clarity, healing and balance to these areas. Chakras are vortices of energy, which are the energy centres of our being. They rotate continuously, distributing energy evenly around the body, keeping one perfectly balanced & energised. When chakras are out of sync, or out of balance, blockages occur which prevents a free flow of the body's energy, which could result in illness.

Sound Therapy is a technique which retunes ones vibrational energy on all levels: physical, emotional and spiritual. The sounds and notes used during a treatment will remind our body of its original vibrational ‘song’, retraining the out-of-tune areas by way of sympathetic resonance entrainment.

For example, if one sings a note that resonates with one of the crystal bowls, the bowl will start to sing also. This happens because the sound waves from the voice travel through the air and vibrate against the bowl which then causes the bowl to come into sympathetic resonance with the voice.  In the same way, the vibration sent out by the bowls and by the voice may retrain the areas of the body and chakras that are out of tune, completely retuning the vibrational body of that  individual to ‘sing’ in tune once again, so helping that person to regain optimum health.

Sound Therapy has been used successfully in the treatment of a wide range of illnesses such as depression and anxiety, cysts, insomnia, hormonal problems, migraine and chronic pain.
