Sound Knowledge is a course in Healing with Sound using Tibetan Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Toning, Overtoning & Mantra.

‘Sound Knowledge' is an in depth 12 month course designed to cover many aspects of Sound Therapy.

Sound has been used in healing for thousands of years, and is still used in a sacred manner in temples around the world. Using ancient techniques along side modern day approaches, you will discover how sound can be used effectively to help heal on all levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

On the course you will learn how to use Himalayan bowls correctly, with some special techniques to ensure that blockages of energy are easily removed from the body in order to promote healing. You will discover ways in which to clear blockages from the chakras and auric field, how to balance, realign and energise the chakra system.

You will also learn how sound resonates with the human body to bring healing and encourage its correct functioning.

In ‘Sound Knowledge’ you will learn how to use the voice effectively in a healing capacity, as it is probably the most ancient healing tool of all time. You will learn how to Tone and Overtone, how to Chant and use Mantra, using these sounds in a profound manner.

Finally you will learn how to use Crystal bowls to their greatest effect. They may be played singly, or with another, as harmonic playing will create a greater healing space.

‘Sound Knowledge’ will include meditations and exercises to enable you to become more in tune with your singing bowls, with yourself, and also with your client. You will be given advice on how to set out your Healing Room and how to make your client fully comfortable on all levels.

By Correspondence: You may take as long as you wish to complete the course, although it is recommended that you complete one lesson each month in order to keep a steady flow throughout the course. As the course consists of 12 lessons it will take approximately one year to complete the main body of the course. You may then take between 4 months to 1 year to complete your case studies.

Throughout the course you will be given questions to answer and exercises to complete, and after the main body of the course you will be expected to submit a number of case studies. These must be completed and submitted within a year of finishing the first part of the course.

Qualifications

A high standard of work is expected throughout the course and an overall pass mark of 80% is required.

On passing the assessments and completion of the course, you will be awarded a Bear Spirit Diploma, allowing you to use the letters BS.ST. This will qualify you to practice Sound Therapy, and provide you with the necessary certificate to obtain insurance.

Although it is recommended to take the full course, each module may be taken separately by prior arrangement, and paid for at the beginning of each module. However, the Sound Therapy Diploma is only granted to those who complete the full course (to the required standard).

If modules are taken individually, a Certificate of Completion is awarded for each module.
