******* White Bear Woman *******
On this page I would like to share a little of my heart with you.
Here are some of my favourite pictures and words of wisdom,
all of which have a deep meaning to me.
Great Spirit Prayer Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind, Whose breath gives life to all the world, Hear me; I need your strength and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people. Help me to remain calm and strong in the face of all that comes towards me. Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock. Help me seek pure thoughts and act with the intention of helping others. Help me find compassion without empathy overwhelming me. I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother, but to fight my greatest enemy..........MYSELF. Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes. So when life fades, as the fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame. Mitakuye Oyasin..

My daughter once said to me, " If you still lived with your Mother, then I wouldn't be here. I would still be a part of God's Great Spirit." Kitty Delamere, 1994, age 8.

Grandfather, Look at our brokenness. We know that in all creation only the human family has strayed from the sacred way. We know that we are the ones who are divided and we are the ones who must come back together to walk in the sacred way. Grandfather, Sacred One, Teach us love, compassion and honour that we may heal the earth and heal each other.....

We are all flowers in the Great Spirits Garden. We share a common root, and the root is mother Earth. The Garden is beautiful because it has different colours in it, and those colours represent different traditions and cultural backgrounds. *Grandfather David Monongye* Hopi |

Love Love is something you and I must have. We must have it because our spirits feed upon it. We must have it because without it we become weak and faint. Without love our self-esteem weakens. Without it our courage fails. Without love we can no longer look confidently at the world. We turn inward and begin to feed upon our own personalities, and little by little we destroy it ourselves. With it we are creative. With it we march tirelessly. With it, and with it alone, we are able to sacrifice for others. |

What Is Life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the winter time. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset. Crowfoot, Blackfoot

THE EARTH DOES NOT BELONG TO MAN MAN BELONGS TO THE EARTH.....
..... ALL THINGS ARE CONNECTED, LIKE THE BLOOD THAT UNITES ONE FAMILY, ALL THINGS ARE CONNECTED, WHATEVER BEFALLS THE EARTH BEFALLS THE SONS OF THE EARTH, MAN DID NOT WEAVE THE WEB OF LIFE HE IS MERELY A STRAND IN IT, WHATEVER HE DOES TO THE WEB, HE DOES TO HIMSELF Chief Seattle

... | Spirit Bear My most special guide is White Bear or Spirit Bear. He is a strong spirit, and not one to argue with, yet he is gentle and caring too. He often visits me at night, giving me strength, love and protection. He is a provider of a great healing energy and helps me in my healing work. |

Painting by Susan Seddon Boulet If a man is sick, I turn into a bear, the Great Bear of the First Creation. My fur is all white, but no polar bear, I'm the Bear of the First Creation. I lick my paws all over, seize hold of that man, squeeze him tight wherever it hurts him, then I blow all over his body, with my healing breath, the First Breath of the First Creation. ***** Reindeer Chukchee (Asiatic Eskimo), c.1900 |
GREAT WHITE BEAR In Native American traditions the Great White Bear is Extremely healing. In many mythologies the bear is the shamanic part of oneself, and its ceremonialised death and resurrection is an initiation into a shamanic system (Shamanism). This white bear traverses all three shamanic worlds, upper, middle and lower, and stands at the axis due North, just as the Great Bear constellation points to the Pole Star. The Winter Solstice is a gateway to these worlds. The dawn midwinter sun brought rebirth to the dead and the darkened world, yet the darkness itself brings stillness and peace. |

White Bear also symbolises the death of a highly significant part of your life. What one requires for rebirth, to break a continuous cycle of repeated patterns, is forgiveness, absolution, the power and blessing of love, whether from an external source or oneself. Perhaps for the first time in your life, you feel a whole person, reborn. The White Bear is of the brown bear family. Its parents are brown and its brothers and sisters are brown. Every now and again one of the bears is born white. It is not an albino, just simply white. As such, it is given the name `spirit bear' |

The Dolphin is another one of my Spirit Guides. The Dolphin represents the breath of life, the life force, and a connection with the Great Spirit. The dolphin is not only a healer, but a messenger, the link between the Dreamtime dwellers, or Great Star Nation and the children of the Earth. Dolphin has guided me to be a healer and a channeller. |

`Noquisi Waya' Star Wolf
|
The animal which has travelled by my side for several years now, and I believe has followed me around since I was a child, is the Wolf. She is my closest companion and friend, she guides me through the astral planes and is always by my side. |
Wolf is a pathfinder who finds new ideas to share and teach. Wolf is associated with the dog star Sirius, the star which I am most connected with. The wolf is of course connected with the moon, the symbol of psychic energy and wisdom. Wolf is the greatest teacher. |

In my astrological birth chart the Moon falls in the sign of Aquarius. This gives me my great interest in spirituality and mysticism. The Moon represents the spiritual aspects of my life, in fact, as well as meaning Divine or Light, my nickname 'Deva' also means Moon Goddess.
|
Throughout the year there are thirteen cycles of the moon. We are familiar with the 12 months of the year, yet there are 13 lunar months in each year. A lunar month begins with the New Moon and ends with the Dark Moon.
During each lunar month, the moon travels through each of the astrology signs, taking 28-29 1/2 days to complete the cycle.
